Boarding FAQ

Boarding Forms

Boarding Pricing

What are your boarding requirements? Any pet over the age of 8 months must be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, and get along well with other dogs.

Do I need to bring in my pet's food for boarding? Yes, we like to minimize changes to a pet's diet while boarding. Feeding its usual food can help reduce stomach issues that may occur if a different food is given. Please bring your food in a hard sided container.

What else should I bring? Bring your pet's bed or blanket, a favorite toy, treats, current vaccination records, and any medication your pet is currently taking. Please bring any medication in its original container.

If it is my first time, do I need to pre register? No, but you do need to make a boarding reservation. It does save time at check in if we have the boarding paperwork and vaccination records ahead of time although not required.

Will my dog be in a kennel all day? No, all of our kennels are indoors with radiant heat in the floors (for cold weather) and evaporative cooling (for warmer weather). The boarding price includes two hours of outdoor play time, one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. Extended outdoor play time and pool time (seasonal) can be added for an additional charge.

What vaccinations do you require? We require current Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza. These vaccinations must be administered by a veterinarian and we need written proof.

Can my pet have vaccinations done while boarding? Yes, we have veterinarians on staff to provide multiple services ranging from surgeries to nail trims and just about everything in between. Please keep in mind that vaccines are most effective when given at least 2 weeks prior to boarding.

Will my dog play with all sizes of dogs? Usually dogs play with similar sized dogs.

Is my dog required to come in for an evaluation prior to boarding? No, but if your dog is aggressive while in our care he/she will not be allowed out with the other dogs and will not be eligible for return boarding.

If my dog sleeps in a crate at night can I bring it? Yes, all of our boarding kennels are fourteen feet in length and offer room for most crates.

If my pet takes medication can it be given there? Yes. All medication must be in the original container with prescribing doctors instructions. Please do not put medication in food or divide out in a daily pill container.

Is there an extra charge for boarding over a holiday? Yes, we charge an extra $5.00 for each pet that boards with us over the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day. The charge is for the day of the holiday only.
