After moving around as a kid and growing up in Georgia, California, and Florida, Dr. Lauren Shamon landed back in Georgia at the University of Georgia, where she was part of the 2014 NCEA National Champion Equestrian team and received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science.
She then moved to the island of St. Kitts and Nevis to pursue her veterinary education at Ross University. After completing her clinical year at Auburn University, Dr. Shamon moved back to Georgia to practice as an equine veterinarian. After two years practicing in Georgia, Dr. Shamon, along with her horse, dog, and cat, moved to Colorado and transitioned to small animal medicine, which she has been doing since 2020.
An avid equestrian, Dr. Shamon enjoys riding and showing her horse and snowboarding in wonderful Colorado! She is a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan, GO DAWGS! She is passionate about surgery, preventive health care, acupuncture, and client education.
