Dr. Katie Smith - Veterinarian

Dr. Katie Smith graduated from the Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.

Dr. Katie grew up in Boulder, Colorado. After graduating from Boulder High, she attended the University of California at Santa Cruz to study Marine Biology. She soon realized she had found her calling in veterinary medicine.

Since graduating with her DVM, she has worked at veterinary hospitals in California and Colorado ranging from a ten doctor, 24-hour hospital, and surgical referral center, to smaller one and two doctor hospitals. While Dr. Katie has always had a strong belief and grounding in western medicine, she has also recognized and utilized for herself and her own pets an integrative wellness philosophy. In 2009, she became acupuncture certified through Colorado State University's Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians program. Her goals as a practitioner are client communication and education, and maximizing patient care and comfort by integrating the best of all medical modalities: nutrition, traditional western medicine, and complementary therapies.

In her spare time, Dr. Katie enjoys walks with her dog Trevor, long bike rides with her husband Mark and traveling
